On the Route des Fromages de Savoie, discover the mountain agriculture behind the excellent Beaufort cheese, visit the farm at milking time with Yves, a mountain guide in Albiez, meet the farmer and enjoy a tasting.

Come and see the Tarine and Abondance cows at milking time. After a walk through the village, we'll visit the farm, which is accessible to the whole family, and meet the farmer, who will give us lots of information about running his farm. We'll learn all about the different types of Beaufort cheese, the particularities of their production, and the history of this ancestral tradition from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages, and its evolution up to the present day. You and your children can learn how to milk a cow, and discover for real where the milk comes from. During the visit, we'll taste the milk used to make Beaufort cheese, right alongside the cows.
