Zone de loisirs des Léchères, 124 route de Villargondran, 73300 Albiez-le-Jeune

Description

From Albiez-le-Jeune, this traverse through meadows and forests leads to the Montrond plateau. On the way: the Moine de Champlan, the village of Albiez-Montrond and the Col du Mollard, before reaching the Chalet d'la Croë facing the Aiguilles d'Arves.
From the leisure center on the edge of the village of Albiez-le-Jeune, the route gradually leaves the backstreets behind to open out onto a landscape of meadows and forests. The route leads to the Moine de Champlan, an astonishing fairy chimney capped by a boulder, a geological curiosity emblematic of the area. The trail then continues through hamlets and alpine pastures to Albiez-Montrond, a pretty mountain village where you can take a break or stock up on supplies before continuing your itinerary. The climb to the Col du Mollard gradually opens up the panoramic views. As you progress, the landscapes become more open and the high mountains come closer. Alpine pasture paths lead to the Montrond plateau, a vast pastoral area dominated by the surrounding peaks. The arrival at Chalet d'la Croë, at the foot of the Aiguilles d'Arves, offers the ideal setting for ending the day: a warm atmosphere, peaceful mountain pastures and, depending on the time of day, magnificent light on the peaks. This is a mountain itinerary. You need to be well equipped and experienced in the mountains before embarking on this tour. Reservations essential.
