Description
Would you like to get off the beaten track and try ski touring? This introductory course will teach you how to put on your boots and use your equipment to tackle snow-covered slopes in complete safety, both on the way up and on the way down.
Please note that a minimum level of downhill skiing is required (to be able to ski down a red run).
During the introductory course, you'll learn how to use the special equipment adapted to this activity: lighter skis with special bindings (which unlock for ascent) and self-adhesive skins for progressing uphill. You'll also learn to use the Arva safety equipment, probe and shovel.
You'll start with small ascents and learn how to orientate yourself on the terrain, descend snow-covered slopes with good technique to control your speed and trajectories on the slope.
Know how to ski down a red run in all types of snow.
