Mountain animal tracks

Place Opinel, Chef-lieu, 73300 Albiez-Montrond

Description

A footprint, a trace in the snow, clues in the vegetation - who's been there? Yves, a mountain leader in Albiez, will take you on a snowshoe hike at your own pace to find out which animals live at altitude all year round.
Accessible to the whole family, at your own pace, in a little-frequented area, we turn into detectives and set off in search of the identification of the animals that live in the mountains! We'll see traces of small mammals, wolves, lynxes, rodents, roe deer, deer, foxes, badgers, birds of prey and certainly other more discreet or stealthy species, martens, ermine... and try to identify them. I'll explain how they live, their biotope, their daily and annual rhythms, what they eat, how they reproduce... stories that will be told along the way. Between meadows, forest and groves of green alders, I'll take you to discover other aspects of the mountains, where time flies when you're hiking. It's an escapade, a beautiful immersion in nature that's remained very wild, before returning to the village. Welcome to my hikes and see you soon for new discoveries.
