37th Hermillon Book Fair

Salle Polyvalente - Espace Léopold Durbet, 296 route de Montandré, 73300 Hermillon

Description

Come and take part in the 37th edition of Maurienne's most important book festival, and enjoy a weekend of culture and reading. This year, reading and music will be on the same score.
Meet-and-greets with authors, book signings, and lectures, along with exhibitions and activities—for two days, literature takes center stage in Maurienne and becomes accessible to all who are curious. The Hermillon Book Fair was founded in 1989 by Josiane Julliard, then head of the library, with the support of the mayor at the time, Léopold Durbet, with the aim of introducing the residents of Hermillon and the surrounding area to the wealth of writing and publications focused on the local region. Today, the Fair is organized around several key areas: - The Rosine Perrier Literary Prize honors a French-language work of fiction rooted in a specific region. - The Charles Maly Prose Reading Prize honors a student from Savoie or Haute-Savoie who reads all or part of a text by an author or one of their own creation in the presence of the prize jury. - The Short Story Writing Contest. A delegation of local authors presents their works on Savoie and the Maurienne region, serving as guardians of the region’s historical and literary heritage as well as its cultural vitality. --- Food and drink available on site.
