A show born out of the collaboration between six artists from Guinea and Latin America. Through acrobatic performances that blend traditional and contemporary styles, they explore their identities, their differences and the connections between them.
“Sanké” means “Roots” in the Soussou language.
This show is the result of a collaboration between three men and three women from Guinea and Central/Latin America. At the crossroads of Guinean and contemporary aesthetics, the artists share their unique qualities through a variety of acrobatic scenes. Through their moving bodies, they offer a journey into their world, an invitation to draw on one’s roots to explore new horizons.
A group moving forward, they fall and get back up; together, they have things to say, they struggle to say them, they don’t always agree, but they keep moving forward. Between poetry and energy, between sensitivity and humour, Sanké is a multicultural adventure that invites us to rethink all the boundaries that surround us.
