Description
The Kilomètre Vertical de Jarrier is Maurienne's premier sporting and social event! With its 1000 m vertical drop over just 4.2 km, it's a demanding mountain race! A challenge for enthusiasts in the heart of the Alps, in a unique atmosphere.
Open to all, champions and amateurs alike.
RDV at 8am behind the Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne hospital.
Start at 9am.
Trail duration: approx. 2 hours
Water refreshment point halfway along the course.
Finish at "Sur la Balme", forêt du Sapey in Jarrier.
Diots and beers offered at the finish and packed lunch for a convivial moment at the end of the race.
Most of the trail is forest, but the last kilometer takes you up to the mountain pastures, with beautiful views over the village of Jarrier and the Arvan massif.
At 11 a.m., a 500 m trail circuit for children will be organized at the finish area.
Registration will take place at the race start point behind the Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne hospital.
