Description
The Jarrier Vertical Kilometer is the season’s premier time trial event, featuring 1,000 meters of elevation gain (D+) packed into just 4.2 km. The course runs directly through town, forest, and alpine pastures, with the majestic Aiguilles d’Arves as a backdrop.

2026 Program:
8:00 a.m.: Check-in and race bib pickup. Meet behind the Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne Hospital
9:00 a.m.: Start of the KV time trial, with runners starting every 15 seconds
Trail duration: approximately 2 hours
11:00 a.m.: Kids’ trail run—a free 500-meter course at the finish line
12:00 p.m.: Social gathering and lunch/buffet (€8 per person)
Water station halfway through the course.
The organization will transport participants’ bags to lighten their load.
Finish at “Sur la Balme” in the Sapey Forest in Jarrier.
The trail runs mostly through the forest; on the last kilometer, you’ll reach the alpine pastures with beautiful panoramic views of the village of Jarrier and the Arvan Massif.
Open to everyone, from champions to amateurs
