Description
WASSA invites you on a journey to the heart of Mandinka music from Burkina Faso. A lively and generous concert, where ancestral rhythms engage with the realities of the modern world.
Balafon, djembe, doums and yabara blend with traditional songs to convey messages relevant to today: love for one’s neighbour, living together in harmony, and tolerance.
Please note: some of the artists will be leading an Afro-contemporary dance workshop from Monday to Friday between 11.00 and 12.30, as well as a flash mob workshop on Friday between 14.00 and 16.00.
