After studying at the Beaux-Arts d'Annecy, Melliflue opened her ceramics studio in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, where she makes all her pieces by hand. They are turned on a potter's wheel, then glazed and fired.

What's behind Melliflue? "I've never had the trigger to change my worldview at all, or at least in a big enough way for it to have had an impact on me. My vision of the world is built up little by little over the course of my experiences. Each of them modifies it by adding or removing elements."
