I design playful experiences rooted in the local area, with the aim of communicating heritage in a lively and accessible way. Through Game Agency, I come up with game trails, investigations and immersive systems that invite young and old alike to explore places in a different way, combining walking, games and discovery.
Alongside the creative work, I work with tourist and cultural organisations on a number of different levels, helping them to think about their projects, design playful experiences, promote their sites and put in place systems tailored to their audiences. Each collaboration is based on fieldwork and a sensitive approach to the sites.
In 2021, we began developing Charlock’s Enigmas, a collection of guided tours featuring a curious cat detective. The choice of the cat echoes the Aiguilles d’Arves, one of whose silhouettes evokes a cat’s head, a discreet nod to the Maurienne landscape and the local roots of the project. Over the years, these routes have been enriched to offer accessible experiences that combine observation, play and heritage education.
Other universes have also taken shape over the course of the projects, such as the themed trails of Aventures de Beaunie… but why Beaunie in your opinion? 😉
