Departing from the Les Bottières snow front, this ascent takes place in a quiet, unspoilt part of the Les Sybelles ski area. Between mountain pastures and forests, you can enjoy this activity on a specially prepared and safe itinerary.
Starting from the Bottières snow front (1,350 m), this signposted ski touring itinerary offers a gradual ascent in a quiet, ungroomed and safe area. It's a great way to learn or train in a varied environment. The route is divided into three distinct sections, with a total vertical drop of 928m to the summit of Grand Truc (2,209 m). The trail, specially designed for ski touring, is reserved for ascents, allowing you to ski in complete safety, away from the alpine ski slopes. From the summit, panoramic views take in the Villards valley, the Arvan valley and the surrounding massifs (Belledonne, Écrins, Aiguilles d'Arves). The descent is via the resort's downhill ski slopes. Below Les Bottières, you'll see the Three Crosses, erected in the 15th century by the inhabitants of La Rochette to protect themselves from plague epidemics.
