This is a red hike for experienced hikers, on the heights of Montdenis. The climbs are tough, but the rewards are grandiose: views of the Aiguilles d'Arves, the Étendard glacier and the Barre des Écrins.
This hike is aimed at experienced walkers in search of sensations and exceptional panoramas. The route takes you up to the crests and mineral slopes of Montdenis, alternating between sustained effort and more technical passages. Each time you climb, the scenery becomes spectacular: the atypical silhouettes of the Aiguilles d'Arves, the icy immensity of the Étendard and, in the distance, the Barre des Écrins. The varied, sometimes aerial terrain requires good physical condition and sure footedness, but the reward is well worth the commitment.
