This is a physical hike on the heights of the typical village of Tourmentier. It's perfect in summer for its coolness and in autumn for its colors, with views of the Croix des Têtes, the highest limestone cliff in France.
The Hauts de Tourmentier trail is designed for experienced hikers. The route alternates between steep climbs, balconies and sometimes stony paths, requiring a good level of fitness and sure-footedness. The route offers spectacular views over the limestone reliefs, dominated by the impressive Croix des Têtes. High-altitude forests, shaded areas and aerial sections punctuate the progression, making this an engaging hike, as technical as it is wild, in the heart of a preserved territory.
