The Chambeaux trail

Elevation : 1500m
Parking du Léard, 73300 Jarrier

Description

This intermediate-level itinerary is the perfect way to gain height while getting a feel for the terrain.
This route crosses the Chambeaux mountain pastures, dominated by the chapel of the same name. The out-and-back route follows a wide, easy-to-navigate alpine path. The village of Jarrier has many hamlets and chapels, of which the Chambeaux chapel is the highest. Originally built in 1864, it was destroyed by a storm in 1935 before being rebuilt in 1941, thanks to the commitment of the parishioners who were so attached to this place of contemplation.
