Below La Croix des Têtes, on the south-facing slope, this short loop takes you to the typical village of Serpolière and the Babylone vineyard.
This loop, accessible to all, invites you to discover the history of the Saint-Julien-Mont-Denis vineyard through a number of reading tables dedicated to vines and grape varieties. Mainly on a carriage road, the itinerary presents no difficulties and is ideal for families. To extend the walk, you can follow the entire Alpine Arc Grape Variety Discovery Trail, or join Saint-Martin-de-la-Porte on trail S15. Here you'll find a unique vineyard featuring 129 grape varieties from all over the Alpine Arc, from Austria to Slovenia and the Southern Alps. Thanks to the work of passionate volunteers, Saint-Julien-Mont-Denis is now recognized as the historic vineyard capital of the Maurienne.
