Elevation : 2067m
Chalet d'la Croë, 73300 Albiez-Montrond

Description

The final leg of this 3-day hike, from the Chalet de la Croë to Albanne via the Col d’Emy. A challenging alpine route (+1,126 m) offering superb views of the Aiguilles d’Arves before a gradual descent to the mountain pastures of Albanne.
This third and final stage leads from the Chalet de la Croë to the village of Albanne, crossing the Col d’Emy, the highest point of the route. The route begins in a rocky landscape dominated by the Aiguilles d’Arves before gradually ascending toward the pass via high-altitude trails offering sweeping views of the Maurienne peaks. With over 1,100 meters of elevation gain, this stage is a true physical challenge, reserved for hikers accustomed to long days in the mountains. After crossing the Col d’Emy, the route shifts to more pastoral landscapes alternating between alpine pastures, high-altitude meadows, and summer mountain hamlets. The final descent leads to Albanne, concluding this three-day trek with an immersion in the valley’s mountain heritage. This is a mountain itinerary. You need to be well equipped and experienced in the mountains before embarking on this tour. Reservations essential.
