Discover the traditions and authentic charm of Albiez and Italy. After a festive day on Saturday at the Plan d'eau, Sunday will be dedicated to folklore at Place Opinel: dancing, craft workshops, Beaufort cheese-making, and a folk dance party!
Two days celebrating artisanal crafts, Alpine traditions, music, and a warm, friendly atmosphere!
Program:
Saturday, August 8: Festive afternoon and evening at the lake
Starting at 3 p.m., enjoy a warm and welcoming gathering featuring a barbecue, refreshments, and live music.
A wonderful opportunity to get together in a friendly atmosphere in the heart of the mountains.
Sunday, August 9:
Workshops open to everyone from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.:
Meet passionate artisans...
- Woodturning with Brindille Tournage
Make wooden keychains and learn woodturning techniques.
- Ceramics with Lunatiques Céramiques
Six one-hour introductory sessions to try your hand at the potter’s wheel.
- Leatherwork with PiMang
Create leather bracelets and learn about leatherworking.
- Traditional Beaufort Cheese Making
From 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Watch the Coopérative des Arves craft Beaufort cheese by hand and discover the time-honored techniques behind this iconic mountain cheese.
Italian Folk Show:
At 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.: The group I Danzatori di Bram will present traditional Italian dances and music with nearly 20 dancers and their musicians.
Folk Dance Party:
From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM: Wrap up the day with music as the Kernoz Trio hosts a grand folk dance open to everyone.
Refreshments and food will be available throughout the day, provided by the Tradi'Cimes association.
The event will be moved to the community hall in case of rain.
