Classification of furnished tourist accommodation

This ministerial classification awards ‘stars’ to furnished tourist accommodation. Classification is not compulsory for letting, but it is strongly recommended. It comprises 133 criteria, both compulsory and optional.

The advantages :
– More attractive tax treatment
– A guarantee of the quality of your accommodation for your national and international customers
– Simplified calculation of tourist tax
– More effective promotion and marketing on accommodation brochures and websites.

This visit must be carried out by an approved body:
– By the SIVAV for the communes of the SIVAV.
Website – Mail: hebergement@sivav.fr – Tel: 04 79 64 09 38 – 06 46 70 56 36
– For other communes: Clévacances or Gîtes de France.

Remarks :
Some labels also offer prefectoral classification (e.g. Gîtes de France).
To take advantage of the Open System marketing service offered by the Tourist Office, classification is compulsory.

Market place

In collaboration with the SIVAV, the Coeur de Maurienne Tourist Office is making Open Pro tools available to accommodation providers.

– What is Open Pro?
These are tools for managing and displaying your availability for online booking. They will appear on the Tourist Office website and on your own website if you wish, in the form of a white label.
This online booking platform is made available free of charge to our accommodation providers. This is an advantageous solution offered by the local authority: 1% commission on sales booked for the SIVAV + 2.9% bank charges if you use online payment.

– How can I benefit from this tool?
As the Tourist Office is an EPIC, there is no membership fee. Accommodation providers undertake to classify their accommodation as a guarantee of quality.
Naomi, the reception manager, is your personal contact. If you are interested in using this tool, make an appointment to create and set up your account.
